Description
The most obvious and clean wall here with good accessibility. Rises dramatically 700' or so straight up out of Helms Creek canyon below the dam. A lot of slab climbing with routes established on lead and some long runouts, but some routes have some sections of cracks and corners mixed in and a few have a reasonable amount of bolt protection.
Getting There
Most people drive across the dam and park at the obvious geologic info pullout. The base can be reached by traversing ledges upstream of the main face to a rappel route for a 70m rope, or Powerline can be rappelled with 2 ropes with some 3rd to 4th class scrambling or fixing 50' feet of line from the top. A couple other routes can also be rappelled but require setting gear anchors at the top to access. The wall can also be assessed by following the gated road next to Tiger wall pullout to the roadside crag and scrambling down into the canyon and across the creek (which has stable year round flows dictated most usually just by the reservoir level).
