Description

A more quiet hunk of rock near Jordan Peak. Mostly south facing and visible from Camp
Nelson, Trilogy Rock, aka McIntire Rock, contains a number of traditional routes in the 5.8 to 5.11 grade range.

A pleasant hike of around 20 minutes from the trailhead leads to the top of the formation. Descend to the base of the south face by hiking around to the right (west) and rappelling 80 feet from an anchor on a ledge. For routes on the east side, access from a gully on the east.

Summit anchors available for parties with two long ropes (pair of 60m ropes recommended).

Getting There

Drive 190 to the east and past Camp Nelson. Head towards Quaking Aspen campground and just prior, take a left on Forest Service road 21S50. After a few miles, left on road 20S81 towards the trailhead for Jordan Peak Lookout.

Continues past the old trailhead on the logging road for around a half mile. Park, and, hike through Log Cabin Meadow. After a mile, a sign for McIntire Rock and Jordan Lookout denotes the top of Trilogy Rock. Descend based on which aspect of venue is desired.
