Description
Southwest side of the rock is in the sun all day, northeast side is shady and cool. Not exactly sure what type of rock but it can be a little sharp. Cleans up really well. I’ve only put up one boulder problem here officially, but we also setup a hard anchor from the top and did a little more projecting, because it would be a highball Boulder at 25 ft. If you are climbing at desert mountain this place is worth the stop on the way, and put up some more climbs!
Getting There
Tried to access desert mountain mid march, but the Weiss highways was a little muddy, hence the name of this area, rock blocked. 4wd recommended in the wet season. Wasn’t sure about finding anything to climb in the month of march, but this rock had been sitting in the sun all day and was well off for climbing. Just take a quick right off of Wiess highway where the boulder is and can drive right up to the feature.
