Description

This area is a part of the Platt Park Land Trust in Southbury, Connecticut. It is a mix of wide open meadows and traversing woodland terrain. Area is well marked with paths that are fairly well kept.

Getting There

There are three main parking areas on Flood Bridge Rd. One being a small lot up what appears to be a driveway alongside a white farmhouse but this is actually the pathway up to the parking area (Cass Rd). The second and third areas are at the Eastern end of the dirt portion of the road. One being a wide pull-off and the other is a small lot on the north side of the road about 200 ft away from the pull off. To get to most of the boulders, park in the lot at the end of Cass Rd. From here face the large sign at the end of the parking lot.You will take the path that is to the left. This should be up a short steep hill to start. Follow this path for about 500-600 feet and stay to the right at all forks and you will see the first of many boulders off the trail to the left.
