Description

Mashamoquet Brook State Park has a couple awesome gems in it, with good problems, good rock, and decent approaches. This park is famous for the Wolf Den, supposedly the site where the last wolf in CT was killed, so I've been trying to name a lot of the climbs after wolf themes (Lichenthrope, For Madmen Only) The problems are pretty difficult, in the V3 to V10 range, with several cool projects I hope to put down this fall. There is also a big talus field and cliffs nearby that is on private property. I'm working on getting access, and its gonna be sick...stay tuned...

Getting There

So far I have found and cleaned two different (legal) boulders, the Hermit Boulder and the Big Bad Wolf Boulder. For both of these areas, park at the little turnaround off of Wolf Den Drive, near the Wolf Den and Table Rock (look at the trailmap from DEEP).
