Description
Ice Mountain stands 13,951' tall in the heart of the Sawatch. With neighboring peaks North Apostle (13,860') and West Apostle (13,568'), this jagged trio is arguably the most aesthetic formation in the Sawatch Range. Though most of this mountain is steep and rotten, the incredible summit is still sought after by many.
There are a handful of routes to summit Ice Mountain, the most popular being the Northeast Ridge (summer) and the Refrigerator Couloir (winter).
