Description

Though a bit slippery at the bottom due to thousands of climber's soles, this large crack in the Beginner's alcove is a great first climb.

Location

The Beginner's Area of Jungle Cliff is a large alcove between a huge tree and a large boulder in the ground slightly upstream from the descent. Beginner's Crack is the large fissure in the center of this alcove.

Protection

Top Rope

Trad: Stances are great, and the gear is there if you get inventive (vertical placements, in crack placements, deep cams).
