I was climbing some mixed routes last weekend, according to the route listings on MP.  Of course, I was doing them with rock shoes and my fingers, so maybe that is cheating.

with the deep winter we had, there is some fun climbing around if you know where to look.

Is Lincoln falls making any progress? Getting into the 20s at night.

Here it is the first climbing post for the season! Sept 29th, Kevin Hart and myself climbed Alexanders on Longs.

Pitch 1, small amount of ice on the crux

Pitch 2, enough ice ice to climb, not enough for screws

Pitch 3, same, enough ice to climb, no screws

Pitch 4, ice on the ramp was fully detached. So to not bring it down 100% we did a far left side variation

so it begins again...

Did you descend once you hit Broadway?

I’ve done Alexander’s twice before. Once rapping after the chockstone. The other at Broadway. If I wanted to continue to the summit to longs what would be the most sensible way?

Summiting from Alexanders is a long day. Most people are rappelling from below the Broadway, some will make the Broadway, but only a few. If i was going to summit from Alexanders considering having ice climbing gear, would be via the Notch or Kieners.

If when you are out at Lincoln and you happen to find an old silver and yellow Quarkwt me know.  Id appreciate it.  I lost itast January.   It had to be burried under a ton of snow.  Thanks.  Enjoy it up there

A good day at Vail yesterday with the lads some decent ice at the lip to whom ever is projecting King Cobra (chalk ticks) and has broken several key holds on this route at the start and in the roof please climb more conservatively in the future..,

Lincoln is in, Scottish Gully and a WI3 line to the right of the pillar. Lots of snow this week and cold temps, I bet more is in this weekend. Photos from 10/20/19

Guideline #1: Don't be a jerk.
